But given all your day-to-day tasks visiting clients and writing up reports and assessments, how do you find time to increase your revenue – and your client volume? Here are a few ideas to get you on the right path to growing your business.

Register with Brokers or Providers

If you’re having trouble building or growing your own client base, registering with a few brokers, medico legal providers or insurance agencies can be useful. In essence, these people are your clients and hopefully they will bring in business. Some agencies will simply keep you on a database, which can’t hurt, while other brokers will proactively market your time slots to businesses in need.

Improve Your Customer Service

Hopefully you already have brilliant customer service skills, but improving your client relations is key and little things can help maintain and boost your revenue too. Perhaps a friendly call each month to touch base could work nicely. Or a final letter thanking them for their business at the end of each assessment could help you stand out. How about a commitment to returning all calls within 24 hours? Or a survey to provide feedback? If you don’t have time to manage all of this, perhaps you need to hire an assistant (see below).

Having a website to represent who you are will help create an identity for your business and give you a platform via which to market yourself. Start a Marketing Campaign

While you don’t have time to run and manage marketing campaigns yourself, there are lots of companies out there who specialise in medical marketing. They can work with you to target the right kind of clients and can advise you on the best marketing tactics and methodologies. Most companies will use specially designed software to boost your website rankings and run campaigns based on your website. They can help boost your branding and organise advertising, as well as generate leads and track calls to your business.

Open Another Practice

If you’re a medico legal specialist who works out of a physical practice, it may be time to expand physically. Opening another practice in a new area could significantly boost your brand and increase your client volume. Consider opening your practice in a high-traffic area, like a shopping mall or a major street. You’ll need to ensure you have the right financials and resources for this, though.

Hire More Help

If you’re running your business by yourself, perhaps you need administrative support.
