If you are considering buying a new wardrobe then there are a few things worth considering before you make your choice. Thinking about the size, style and shape of wardrobe you want as well as how much you want to spend will make your purchasing decision much easier once you begin wardrobe shopping.

What size wardrobe to buy

The size of wardrobe you choose to buy will of course depend on how much space you need and how much space you have. If you have a large bedroom with lots of space available and lots of clothes in need of storage space, then a large triple wardrobe or a king wardrobe could be the best bet, whereas if you have a smaller room with limited space then you may need to consider a double or even a single wardrobe.

A good way to cut down on space taken up in the room whilst still keeping space within the wardrobe is to choose a sliding door wardrobe, so that space doesn’t need to be allowed for the doors to open outwards.

Be sure to measure how much space you have available for your wardrobe before you go out and buy one.

What style of wardrobe to buy

There are many different styles of wardrobe to choose from in many different materials. For bedrooms with oak beds, choose oak wardrobes to complement the existing look. Oak wardrobes are always a good choice as they will fit in well with pretty much any interior, tend to be good quality and have a timeless look about them.

You can also choose from pine wardrobes, beech wardrobes, fabric covered wardrobes and more.

How much to spend on your wardrobe

How much to spend on your new wardrobe is really up to you, but it is a wise idea to set a realistic budget before you begin shopping so that you are less tempted to spend more than you can really afford.

Many online stores and stores on the high street have great sales on wardrobes so you are bound to find yourself a bargain if you shop around.
